- Plan for Thursday 1-14-16 January 13, 2016INFORMATION FOR THE 2&3 DAY PROGRAM:
Location: Strafford Nordic Center, Strafford, VT Time: 3:45-4:45 Technique: skate Wax Recommendation: NA Upcoming Event/Race: Nothing this weekend for BKL While last night’s snow certainly made it look a lot more wintry out there, the local skiing is unfortunately still very icy/crusty right underneath the surface. All reports agree that it is not going to be safe/fun/good for tomorrow anywhere in Hanover/Norwich.
For those who can make the drive, we will be having a very informal, optional practice with a smaller number of coaches at the Strafford Nordic Center. Coaches will be there to ski with the kids between 3:45 and 4:45, and those who come should have an adventurous spirit as none of the coaches has skied the conditions yet. Please note that the conditions may be challenging for beginner skiers. Of course, you should feel no pressure whatsoever to make the drive if the logistics don’t work.
Here’s to making the most of what we’ve got!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I regret to say that I am cancelling tomorrow’s ski practice for the 1-day a week BKL program. The trails (skiing and running) are very icy and dangerous, and an ideal indoor activity space is unavailable for our program. Let’s hope for a snowy week ahead!
Best wishes,

Please note: If you have a child enrolled in the 2-day a week BKL program, they will be meeting tomorrow at the Marion Cross School in Norwich, VT.

INFORMATION FOR THE 1 DAY BKL PROGRAM:
Dear parents and caregivers,
We are looking ahead to Tuesday’s weather and want to warn you that we may not be able to have practice. The conditions are likely to be very icy, which will make it impossible to ski and may make it dangerous to run. We will make the final call by Monday night at 6pm.
Thank you for your understanding.

- First Friday Practice 1-8-16! Woohoo! January 7, 2016
INFORMATION FOR THE 3 DAY PROGRAM:
Location: Oak Hill Time: 3:30-4:30 Technique: skate Wax Recommendation: NA Upcoming Event/Race: NA NOTES:
In honor of Sophie Caldwell’s recent Tour de Ski victory, we’re going to do some sprint events (skate) tomorrow. Get psyched!
Please remind your kids not to walk up or down the hill to get to the stadium. We’d like them to put on skis near the cabin and ski up to practice and then down at the end. The hill is just sketchy. Thanks for your help with this.
