- Come Watch 100ft Ski Jumps in the Dark! January 20, 2017
Ford Sayre presents the NH High School (NHIAA) Ski Jumping Competition
- Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 6:00pm
- Roger Burt Memorial Jump, Oak Hill, Hanover, NH
- Hot Cocoa, Music, Camp Fire, Fun under the Lights
Come watch top High School competitors from around the state soar over 100 feet under the lights at Oak Hill in Hanover. Cheer for the Hanover High jumping team!
Join us for hot cocoa, music and a camp fire. Here are a few photos from 2015.
DIRECTIONS
- From downtown Hanover take Lyme Road (Rt 10 North to the first rotary just before the COOP Foodstore).
- Take the first right off the rotary onto Reservoir Road.
- Reservoir Road comes to a “T” after roughly 0.7 miles.
- Take a left down to the Storrs Pond/Oak Hill ski complex.
- Park there. The jumps are up the hill to the left (hidden by a few trees). From the parking lot you’ll see the lights from the ski jumping complex shining through the trees.
- Ford Sayre Ski Swap; Sunday, 11-6-16 November 5, 2016
Reminder: The Ford Sayre Ski & Winter Sports Sale is Sunday, November 6th from 12:00-2:30 at the Richmond Middle School in Hanover, NH. You’ll find nordic equipment (I’ve shared a preview of what I saw this afternoon), alpine gear, ice skates, and other great used equipment.
There will be a handful of Ford Sayre parents, coaches, and program heads to help answer questions about equipment. The swap is a VERY busy event, so arrive early for your best change of getting good equipment.
Junior boots
Mixed assortment of adult, junior, and youth skis
Ford Sayre Gear Exchange: If you don’t find what you’re looking for, there is a lot of really nice equipment listed on our family to family Ford Sayre Gear Exchange!
Registration: And, if you haven’t registered for the ski program yet, but still want to do so – head to our online registration page! We’d love to have your child join us this winter.
Best wishes,
Aricca Van Citters, Co-Program Head, BKL Grades K-4, JuniorBKL@fordsayre.org
Jane Phipps, Co-Program Head, BKL Grades 5-8, BKL@fordsayre.org - Important! Change in e-mail system November 1, 2016
Dear Ford Sayre Families,
ACTION REQUIRED! Please read carefully or you may fail to receive our future e-mails.
We are transitioning to a new e-mail system, so this will be the last e-mail sent using this e-mail group, known as the 2015-2016 BKL 2&3 Day list.
If you have a registered skier in a Grade 3-8 program for the 2016-2017 season, you were automatically subscribed to our new e-mail system and should have received an e-mail earlier this evening. The subject line read: Welcome to the 2016-2017 Ford Sayre Program. This e-mail & all future e-mails are archived on our website. Please check your inbox to confirm receipt.
If you have registered a skier for 2016-2017 & did not receive this Welcome e-mail, please e-mail Jane Phipps at bkl@fordsayre.org
Future e-mails will still come from Ford Sayre BKL (bkl@fordsayre.org) or Junior BKL (juniorbkl@fordsayre.org). Our new system will allow us better channels of communication with less duplication in your inbox, especially if you have multiple kids in the program.
For anyone that wishes to continue receiving BKL e-mails, but will not register for the 2016-2017 season (think non-parent coaches & community members, additional family members, caregivers), please subscribe here.
Think snow & keep in touch,
Aricca Van Citters, Co-Program Head, BKL Grades K-4, JuniorBKL@fordsayre.org

Jane Phipps, Co-Program Head, BKL Grades 5-8, BKL@fordsayre.org - Ford Sayre Nordic Registration – 1 week to go! October 24, 2016
Dear Ford Sayre families,
Many of you have already registered your children for cross-country skiing, but we expect this task remains on many “to do” lists. Click here to enroll now.
Registration deadlines:
Registration for all 3rd-8th grade nordic programs closes on October 31st! Just 7 days away!
Registration for kindergarten to 2nd grade nordic programs closes on November 20th (register early to help us create our coaching rosters)!
Questions about our new program structure:
As you likely know, our 3rd-8th grade program structure has changed this year. You can find a summary of our new structure here. Please let us know if you have any questions about the programs, schedule, equipment, or costs. All are welcome to come to our New Families Night on Thursday, November 3rd (5:30pm; Mayer Room, Howe Library, Hanover) to meet coaches, hear about the upcoming season, and ask questions.
Scholarship support is available:
As a reminder, generous support from Ford Sayre donors allows us to make scholarships available, when support is needed. Ask us for more information, or visit our scholarships page!
Sell your old gear – or buy some great used equipment!
Our Ford Sayre nordic gear exchange is hopping this year – with inexpensive gear (skis, poles, boots, jackets, etc) and sometimes even FREE stuff!
So, take a look at what might fit your kids!
And – check your basement and garage for equipment you no longer need! List it on our used gear exchange, make a bit of money, and help a local Ford Sayre family find some new treasures!
Can’t find it online? Shop at the Ford Sayre Ski Sale on Sunday, November 6th. Or even better, volunteer for a shift & shop early at the volunteer sale on Saturday!
Fondly,
Aricca Van Citters, Co-Program Head, BKL Grades K-4, JuniorBKL@fordsayre.org
