In person Fall and Winter Session Training add-ons will be coached by outstanding Ford Sayre Nordic ski coaches, including Head Coach and the 2025 NENSA Coach of the Year, Hilary McNamee. Ford Sayre is extremely happy to announce our new Nordic Masters Club Head Coach for the 26/27 season: Alexandra Lawson.
Alex Lawson, hailing from Burke, Vermont, graduated from Middlebury College in 2021, and afterwards spent three years Nordic ski racing with the Green Racing Project. She represented the U.S. at two U23 World Championships and competed in multiple World Cup events during her time as a professional athlete. Alex was additionally a member of the Trail Team during this time, and competed in the World Mountain Running Championships in 2023. During her time at Craftsbury, Alex also led the summer Craftsbury Master’s ski program. Following her ski and trail running career, Alex moved to Vancouver to get her master’s degree from the University of British Columbia. After graduating this past spring, she moved back East and is currently applying to medical school. She missed the eastern ski community more than anything and is incredibly stoked to be coaching the Ford Sayre Master’s program this winter! Alex has fallen in love with the Upper Valley already, and her current favorite hobby is gravel and mountain biking, but she also enjoys baking (particularly chocolate chip cookies). Emily Anderson is a ‘28 at Dartmouth College planning to major in mechanical engineering. She grew up surrounded by the outdoors in Lander, Wyoming, but didn’t start skiing until 7th grade, when she absolutely fell in love with the sport and community. Besides skiing, she leads trips for the DOC Nordic Club, and plays the clarinet in the Dartmouth College Wind Ensemble.
Alden Wilcox graduated from Dartmouth College this past spring with a degree in studio art. He will remain at Dartmouth for one year working as a teaching assistant and shop monitor in the Studio Art Department, after which he plans to pursue a Master of Architecture. Alden began skiing in sixth grade while living in Maine, and continued with the sport all the way through college, where he was a member of the Club Nordic Team.
