Peggy Sayre Volunteer Award - 2003
Matt Marshall is the Hanover Inn's current manager. During the last year, Matt carried on the volunteer spirit of the Ford Sayre programs by hosting the 2003 NCAA skiing championships in a most innovative and tireless manner. Matt has also hosted the Council's 50th Anniversary and provided meeting space for Ford Sayre Council meetings for the last 10 years. During all this time, he has been a friend of the program and the Council is pleased to recognize him for his efforts. His support of the Ford Sayre Council continues the strong affinity between the Hanover Inn and the Ford Sayre programs.
The Inn recently dedicated one of it's meeting rooms as the "Ford Sayre Suite" - a fitting tribute to this long-standing relationship.
The Peggy Sayre Volunteer Award was first awarded on the Council's 50th Anniversary. Annually, it recognizes one of the many volunteers for their selfless, tireless efforts in helping to provide quality ski instruction and coaching to the youth of the Upper Valley. While only one person receives the award each year, the efforts of all of the program's volunteers are greatly appreciated - without you the quality of life in our exceptional community would be diminished! Thanks.
