Silver Fox Trot Race Sponsors:

The Silver Fox Trot race is held on the trail system of the Dartmouth Cross Country Ski Center, 2 miles north of Dartmouth College and downtown Hanover on Rt. 10.

Registration, bib pick-up and parking is at the Bernice Ray Elementary School, across from Garipay Field on Reservoir Rd., Hanover.

The Eastern Cup race will be held at Oak Hill, on the 5 km “Pond Loop” (see map below).

The Oak Hill Course:
The Silver Fox Trot race is scheduled to be held at Oak Hill on the 5k “Pond Loop”, in blue on the map below. This course begins and ends in the Stadium area used by the Dartmouth Carnival. This is also the same course for the 5 km and 10 km freestyle races of 2003 NCAA’s. After quickly dropping out of the stadium, the course rolls through varied terrain, includes some good climbs, has some wild S-curves just 800 meters from the finish, and then brings you back into the stadium. J2 skiers and women will complete one loop for a total of 5 km, the J1 boys and men will complete two loops for a 10 km race.

Pond Loop

The Garipay Field Course:

In the event snow is too thin at Oak Hill to hold an Eastern Cup race, the Silver Fox Trot will be held at nearby Garipay Field on a 5 km loop (marked in yellow on map at right). This course is very spectator friendly, and include a variety of rolling terrain through mostly open fields.
